APPLY NOW for free assistance on innovation procurement!

APPLY NOW for free assistance to implement your innovation procurement of ICT based solutions!

The European Assistance for Innovation Procurement initiative (Eafip) seeks to receive applications of public procurers from all EU Member States to support the implementation of Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) and Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI). After selecting three new projects from the second call-round of 2019 the Eafip-initiative has opened a 3rd call for Eafip assistance.

The projects that have been selected so far to benefit from free technical and legal assistance:

  • Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg - Big Data for the Water Chain  (The Netherlands)
  • Government of Canarias - Programa FID Salud - Big Data for personalised medicine  (Spain)
  • Österreichisches Patentamt - Chatbot Albert  (Austria)
  • Dublin City Council - Smart Dublin: Smart tech ring buoys  (Ireland)
  • Public transport operator STIB-MIVB - Muntstroom Living Lab  (Belgium)

During 2015 – 2018 Eafip organised 12 successful events, created a knowledge-packed toolkit and 12 informative videos, and provided assistance to public procurers in the development and implementation of their innovation procurement. Across Europe, public procurers are able to move ahead with innovation procurements. During 2019 – 2020 additional public procurers have the chance to apply for free of charge assistance to implement their innovation procurement.

Eafip provides local assistance to selected public procurers in the preparation and implementation of a PCP or PPI procurement. For instance; scoping an already identified procurement need that can be tackled with innovative solutions, preparing and conducting an EU wide published open market consultation and drafting tendering documents. Through the newly opened 3rd call for assistance new European public procurers can apply for free assistance to implement their innovation procurement of ICT based solutions. Deadline for this 3rd call is December 13th 2019.
